Apple has confirmed the rumors and officially unveiled the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models powered by the M4 chip, now available in Spain through its website.

This update doesn’t come alone, as Apple also recently announced new iPad Air models featuring the M3 chip, along with a redesigned Magic Keyboard, and the 11-inch iPad equipped with the A16 chip—though without Apple Intelligence.

The MacBook Air retains its signature lightweight and slim design, available in two Liquid Retina display sizes: 13 and 15 inches. It continues to feature an aluminum body, side ports, and a scissor-mechanism keyboard paired with a spacious trackpad—one of the defining features of Apple’s laptops.

Following its debut in last year’s iPad Pro, the M4 chip now powers the latest MacBook Air models, making them the lightest in Apple’s laptop lineup. Additionally, they now come with 16GB of RAM as the default configuration, an upgrade that was also introduced in the latest MacBook Pro models.

One of the M4’s standout features is its Neural Engine, capable of performing 38 trillion operations per second. This enhances the performance of Apple Intelligence by improving machine learning tasks and optimizing complex processes, resulting in greater efficiency tailored to modern needs. Moreover, the M4 chip allows the MacBook Air to support up to two external displays in addition to its built-in screen, expanding productivity and entertainment possibilities—particularly useful for professionals who rely on multiple monitors.

Built for Apple Intelligence, the new MacBook Air is perfect for AI-powered features, thanks to its upgraded processor and default 16GB of RAM. Features like enhanced writing tools, Siri’s integration with ChatGPT, and Genmoji will become even more efficient once they roll out in early April.

The MacBook Air with M4 is available in two sizes—13 and 15 inches—with prices varying based on the selected configuration. The base model allows for RAM and SSD storage upgrades according to user needs. It comes in four colors: Sky Blue, Silver, Starlight, and Midnight.

The 13-inch MacBook Air with M4 starts at €1,199, while the 15-inch version is priced at €1,499. Both models include 16GB of unified memory and 256GB of SSD storage in their base configurations.
