Donald Trump’s valet, Walt Nauta, pleaded not guilty to charges stating that he had helped the former President of the United States conceal classified White House documents from federal authorities. The man also revealed a new Florida-based lawyer, who will represent him as the case against Trump proceeds in the Miami, Florida court.

Reportedly, Nauta was charged alongside the Republican politician with 38 counts. The indictment talked about the mishandling of classified documents. However, the valet’s hearing of the charges had been canceled twice. The first time, the man was unable to find a licensed lawyer in the Floridian state, and the second one had to be postponed as a result of traveling difficulties.

Sasha Dadan is the new criminal defense attorney who Nauta has hired to defend his case. The public defender who works in Fort Piece, and appeared in court with Walt Nauta, alongside his other attorney, Stanley Woodward. There, different statements regarding Nauta’s innocence were presented, and Woodward made the not-guilty plea on his behalf.

According to the authorities, Walt Nauta had moved boxes of documents with classified information, all at Trump’s direction. As a result, the files were not found during the search lawyers did, so they could be returned to the White House. However, according to man’s attorneys, the Justice Department made a “diligent search” and the top-secret information was returned to the government.

After the event, Nauta and his attorneys left the hearing and refrained from giving any statement to the media. The only words Nauta pronounced during the reading of the indictment were “yes, your honor,” when he was asked if he had read the charge before coming to court. Similarly, the former president also pleaded not guilty of the charges against him for the same issue.
