Pope Francis has revealed his willingness to intervene and put an end to the armed conflict in Ukraine. According to Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State, there are ongoing developments, though the information is confidential.

Although initially both Kiev and Moscow denied having knowledge of the “papal mission”, Parolin clarified that it was a misunderstanding. During his recent visit to Budapest, Pope Francis mentioned his readiness to do everything possible for peace in Ukraine. It is now revealed that there is a mission underway, although it has not yet been made public.

The Vatican is determined to mediate and put an end to the conflict between these two countries. It is worth noting that this is not the first time the Vatican has been involved in conflict situations. In 2003, Pope John Paul II attempted to prevent the Gulf War through direct mediation with political leaders. Although he was not successful, his effort was appreciated by people around the world.

In the case of Ukraine, it is believed that two cardinals could be sent as mediators: Cardinal Parolin and Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher. There is also consideration of sending the expert in Eastern Churches, Claudio Gugerotti, who has a good command of Russian and Ukrainian.

People on social media are eagerly awaiting the development of this Vatican mission, as Pope Francis continues to demonstrate his commitment to peace and his desire to help resolve international conflicts. It is hoped that this news will be a significant step towards peace in Ukraine and the end of the war.
