Google’s most advanced artificial intelligence is now available right on your wrist. After several months of limited testing, the company has officially begun rolling out its Gemini assistant to all smartwatches running Wear OS 3 or higher.

This update marks a significant step in Google’s strategy to integrate its natural language technology into the daily lives of millions of users. From now on, anyone with a Pixel Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch, or any compatible device will be able to replace the old Google Assistant with Gemini—a more powerful and versatile tool.

Although the rollout began gradually last week, Google now allows users to download the app directly from the Wear OS Play Store, without waiting for a system notification. To install it manually, simply open the store on your watch, go to “Manage apps,” and search for “Gemini.” You can also start the process from your phone using an official link.

Once installed, the system will confirm that Gemini is now available on your watch. Unlike the previous assistant, this new AI-powered version enables more fluid and natural conversations, adapting to each user’s context.

On smartwatches, Gemini is designed for quick tasks and on-the-go queries, making the most of the immediacy the device offers. While it retains the full capabilities of the mobile version, Gemini has been optimized to deliver fast, precise responses for moments when accessing your phone isn’t convenient.

The rollout of Gemini on Wear OS is part of Google’s broader effort to embed generative AI across its ecosystem—from Android and Gmail to its physical devices. This move not only enhances user experience but also positions Wear OS as a stronger competitor to the Apple Watch, which has yet to offer similar AI integration.

With this update, Google strengthens its push for more accessible and useful AI—now, right from your wrist.
