The unruly behavior of an influencer and her mother during a flight has gone viral on social media after both women were removed from the plane in a state of intoxication. The incident, which led to an emergency landing, was captured on video by passenger @baloonsbykandykrush, whose real name is Mandy, and widely shared online.

According to British outlet MailOnline, the events took place on Wednesday, May 28, aboard a flight from Manchester to Jamaica. Angel, a young woman known on TikTok for her 42,000 followers, and her mother had reportedly been drinking alcohol at the airport bar before boarding. Videos shared by Angel on her TikTok account showed the pair posing with a cooler full of wine and prosecco—setting the stage for the chaos that followed.

Mandy, a fellow passenger, told the media that the flight was delayed for over two hours—from 9:15 to 11:40 a.m.—and that tensions between the mother and daughter were already evident. “Angel started yelling at her mother even before boarding,” she recounted. Once on board, the pair continued drinking, and their behavior quickly became disruptive.

The situation escalated when Angel began verbally abusing her mother and acting aggressively toward the crew. At one point, she even demanded to be let off the plane mid-flight. “The crew tried several times to calm her down, but nothing worked,” Mandy said. The disruptive conduct continued, prompting the captain to intervene.

Faced with a warning that the flight would be delayed further and that legal action would be taken upon landing, the women briefly quieted down. However, Angel was eventually moved to the back row and strapped to her seat for safety reasons. The plane was then diverted for an emergency landing in Canada.

Upon landing, several police officers boarded the aircraft. Witnesses said the mother was arrested first after allegedly kicking one of the officers. Angel was detained shortly after.

Footage recorded by Mandy shows the mother shouting “Let me go!” as fellow passengers booed, while Angel smiled and waved goodbye as she was escorted off the plane. The removal was met with applause and cheers from the rest of the cabin.

The incident caused significant delays. The flight, originally scheduled to land in Jamaica at 12:40 p.m., eventually touched down at 7:30 p.m.—nearly seven hours late. Passengers, visibly shaken by the events, documented and shared the ordeal on social media, where the story quickly gained traction.
