Gaza Endures New Bombings as Trump Concludes Middle East Tour

At least 93 people were killed in Gaza on Friday as a wave of Israeli airstrikes struck the Palestinian enclave, coinciding with the conclusion of U.S. President Donald Trump’s regional tour.

The overnight bombardments hit multiple areas across the territory, including the outskirts of Deir al-Balah and the city of Khan Younis, according to the local Health Ministry. Hundreds more were reported injured.

The strikes came as Trump wrapped up a diplomatic visit to Gulf states, though his itinerary did not include Israel. His trip had raised hopes of progress toward a ceasefire or the resumption of humanitarian aid into Gaza, where an Israeli-imposed blockade has now entered its third month.

Speaking to reporters at a business forum in Abu Dhabi on the final day of his tour, Trump said he was working to address several international crises, including the war in Gaza. “We’re watching Gaza,” he stated. “And we have to deal with that. A lot of people are starving. A lot of bad things are happening.”

The Israeli military confirmed on Friday that it was continuing operations against insurgent targets in Gaza. In the past 24 hours, it said, it had struck 150 locations, including anti-tank missile sites and military infrastructure. In the northern part of the Strip, Israeli forces reported killing several militants operating an observation post.
