India fired three missiles into territory controlled by Pakistan early Wednesday morning, according to Pakistani security officials, amid rising tensions between the two countries following last month’s militant attack in the Indian-administered region of Kashmir.

According to three security officials, the missiles struck areas in Pakistan-administered Kashmir and the eastern province of Punjab. The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to speak publicly, reported no casualties or material damage.

So far, there has been no official statement from the government or the military regarding the incident.

Developing story.
