A tense moment unfolded on the afternoon of Thursday, March 13, at Denver International Airport when an American Airlines plane parked at Gate C38 had to be evacuated due to a fire that produced thick smoke.

Airport authorities reported that passengers were immediately evacuated using emergency slides while response teams worked to contain the situation. Fortunately, the fire was quickly extinguished, and as of 6:15 PM (local time), no injuries had been reported.

The incident involved Flight 4012 and caused moments of distress among passengers, who had to leave the aircraft in a hurry. Some even ended up standing on the wing while firefighters sprayed water to extinguish the flames.

Videos and photos of the event quickly spread across social media. According to The Mirror US, footage shows dozens of passengers evacuating the aircraft and waiting on the wing as emergency crews responded. A user on the social media platform X shared a photo showing flames around the plane’s engine, suggesting that the fire may have been caused by fuel.

Although authorities have not yet confirmed the exact cause, they emphasized that the swift response of emergency teams prevented the situation from escalating. The airport assured that the evacuation was carried out efficiently, with emergency slides deployed immediately to ensure passenger safety.

Flight 4012 was in the process of boarding or deplaning when the smoke was detected, prompting authorities to act immediately. According to FOX News, coordination between airport staff and emergency responders was crucial in preventing injuries and minimizing damage.

Denver International Airport, one of the busiest in the United States, has strict protocols in place for handling such emergencies. While no injuries were reported, the incident left a lasting impression on passengers who experienced moments of uncertainty.

At this time, it remains unclear whether the incident affected airport operations or caused significant flight delays. Neither American Airlines nor airport officials have issued further statements, but an investigation is expected to determine the exact cause of the fire and prevent similar incidents in the future.
