Final Fantasy is a video game that has given fans iconic songs and melodies over the years. The franchise for sure is filled with memorable tracks that have become anthems in their own right. Due to this, it is no surprise that the Final Fantasy Vii video game has gone to become epic music for real live events, such as a military festival.

During one of the parades in a military event, uniformed soldiers marched to “Bombing Mission”, which is one of the video game’s most iconic and beloved songs. This track comes from Final Fantasy VII, which is also one of the 90s releases made by the franchise.

From what can be seen in the video, the musical theme perfectly blends with the movements of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, which took the street for a parade that lasted about an hour and twenty minutes. The clip was first posted on Reddit by Roshi 20 who commented “Military marching band playing a song called ‘Bombing Run’ from a game where terrorists bomb a military installation. Ironic.”

While the United Kingdom soldiers proudly marched to the Final Fantasy tune, some fans and users across Reddit highlighted that the song choice did not fit the event. The video game mostly depicts the military as a puppet of a corrupt government. In short, in the game soldiers are just seen as pawns who follow orders. Due to this, some concluded that the person or people in charge of the music are probably just fans of the franchise and decided to include the song in the parade.
