Texas man, Rudolph ‘Rudy’ Farias, had been reported missing since 2015. Allegedly, The last time he was spotted was in March 2015, at the age of 17 years old. Reports stated that the young man, who was found outside a church with cuts on his skin, bruises, and blood in his hair, had actually been at home with his mother all this time, and came back to his house one day after he was reported missing.

The authorities stated that both Farias and his mother have provided false names and dates of birth to the police during the investigation. According to official reports, they “continued to deceive police by remaining adamant that Rudy was still missing. As a result, the police opened a new investigation to research the reasons why the Farias family had lied about the whereabouts of the young man.

At the moment, the district attorney has refrained from pressing any charges, in spite of Farias’ mom creating fictitious reports and failure to ID. About this, Lieutenant Christopher Zamora expressed “The investigation is active, and there are new leads coming in. We’ll continue to follow those leads.” He later added ““After investigators talked with him yesterday, it was discovered that Rudy returned home the following day, on March 8, 2015,”

Shockingly. Farias’ mom, Janie Santana insisted on the fact that her son had been missing, although the police collected evidence contradicting her statement during the 8-years period of the fake disappearance. Zamora also confirmed that Rudy Farias was living with his mother at choice, but still contacted Adult Protective Services and connected Farias with the Police’s Department Victim Service.
