Collaborations between companies and brands in the geek world, particularly those related to video games, never stop coming. This time, people will get to enjoy a tasty and sweet surprise that has arrived for pre-order as of today, Wednesday, June 28. It’s all about the collaboration between Oreo and Nintendo to launch the Super Mario cookies.

According to Oreo, the Limited Edition of OREO x Super Mario cookies are featuring 16 unique designs which include iconic Super Mario characters and Power-Ups, such as Mario himself, Luigi, Super Star, Goomba, and Bowser Jr. Each package is filled with a random character decorated in the dunkable cookies.

In addition, Oreo has requested fans to complete a mission after getting themselves a cookie package. Here is how it works: Princess Peach is missing from the cookies and users have to stop Bowser from taking over the Mushroom Kingdom. To do so, they have to stack as many hero-embossed cookies on top of a Bowser cookie in a glass of milk until he is defeated. After that, they have to post a video of the experience on social media. About the interactive challenge, Oreo said:

“We hope to unite cookie lovers and Super Mario enthusiasts alike with this playful mission inspired by a storyline fans know all too well, We may even reveal a surprise as a thank you to those who successfully defeat Bowser and save the kingdom. … Fans will have to wait and see!”

It is not the first time that Oreo joins forces with popular franchises in the gaming world. The American cookie company has transformed its products into themed food for a number of video games. For example, Oreo has had collaborations with Xbox, Halo, and Pokémon, which is possibly the most popular one so far.
