One of the most acclaimed series by fans of the Marvel Universe is “Daredevil“, and although it had three seasons with excellent reviews, it was finally canceled on the Netflix platform without any notice.
Everything changed when in 2021 actor Charlie Cox appeared in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in the role of lawyer Matt Murdock and it was recently officially confirmed that a new series of the character is already being worked on for Disney +.
But that is not the only novelty of the project, but one of the surprises is that the character of Elektra will be played by the Mexican Eiza González. This information was revealed by sources on the Reddit site, and apparently it could be confirmed at Marvel’s presentations at San Diego Comic-Con 2022.

In the second season of “Daredevil” the character was introduced with actress Elodie Yung. In the 2003 film “Daredevil: The Man Without Fear” starring Ben Affleck and in its spin-off, Elektra, the character was played by Jennifer Garner.
Elektra Natchios is a Marvel character who, in addition to being Daredevil’s love interest, is a strong warrior and hero. She is of Greek descent, she was trained in martial arts and her signature weapons are two sais.
If the casting of Eiza González is confirmed, this would be her second chance in the world of superheroes, after Bloodshot, released in 2020. However, in the past she was already interested in this type of character, specifically Catwoman in Batman , which was finally in the hands of Zoë Kravitz.
