Elon Musk‘s company, Neuralink, aims to solve neurological problems in humans by implanting microchips in the brain. Until now, the tycoon’s company has carried out medical tests with monkeys and pigs, but it is already very close to doing it with human beings.

As TMZ has published, Neuralink has published announcements to hire specialists capable of conducting clinical trials with people. “The applicant will work closely with some of the most innovative doctors and engineers and with the first participants of the clinical trial“, the text states.

This year 2022 is the one set by Elon Musk for the project to see the light. “Replacing faulty or missing neurons with circuitry is the right way to think. Many problems can be solved by connecting signals between existing neurons“, the Tesla CEO said last December.

In this way, Elon Musk pointed out that starting clinical trials with humans will greatly boost research. It is the final step. “Progress will accelerate when we have devices in humans next year“, the businessman insisted.

Among the advantages of the chips in humans, the millionaire commented on some of the applications that this revolutionary technology will allow: “Neuralink’s first product will allow someone with cerebral palsy to use a mobile phone with their mind. And faster than someone who uses your thumbs to do it“.
